Impact Highlights from 2025

The Port Gingerbread Festival began in 2023 and has been steadily growing each year. Our third season shone with enthusiasm and generosity!

Charitable donation - The 2025 Festival proceeds totaled $6,378, directed to Nourishing the North Shore.

Visitors - We welcomed 1,311 visitors, an increase of 16% over the prior year.

Gingerbread Creations - Participation was up 25%, with 45creations on display – a success in both quantity and quality. What a delight to see these works of art and works of heart! They were made by individuals, families, friends, community groups and businesses.

Volunteers - Our indispensable intergenerational force of more than 60 volunteers gave hundreds of hours, and great talent and spirit.

Community participation expanded to include 52 sponsors and donors, plus nine businesses and nonprofits which contributed gingerbread creations of their own. They and others boosted our outreach efforts by sharing Festival information with their audiences, and some hosted workshops to encourage new people to learn the skills involved and the tricks of the trade.
